Casualty was written with my two good friends Steve (Miller)Solomon and Dave Hodges. I wrote a handful of songs from Cedar + Gold with them: I Was Gonna Marry You, Say Anything, Come Down... We have such a good writing chemistry, and I wanted to make sure that I didn't let another 4 years pass without putting out new music. I really liked the idea of calling the song casualty. Being so enamored with someone, or vice versa, that even if it was a complete disaster it would have been worth it. Careless, crazy, makes no sense kind of love.
